"Toyota has issued a press release confirming that 2014 will be the last year for the FJC. While the news doesn't come as a surprise, it's certainly not a happy time for us FJC lovers. They've also released several photos of the 2014 TTUE (Ultimate Edition) along with more details of upgrades for the last FJ Cruiser.



The press release doesn't go into specifics on why the FJC will be no more, but amid pressures to increase fuel economy across the line, lower than expected sales, and a profit margin not nearly as lucrative as the full size Land Cruiser, Toyota doesn't have much of a choice. Coining the FJ as an 'instant classic', Toyota almost seems excited to bid a 'fond farewell' to this iconic truck. Clearly their focus will now turn to the 4Runner and other truck models, while the over-priced mega luxury 200 series will continue in it's unobtanium form.

Perhaps Toyota global is working on new version of the 70 series Land Cruiser that will someday reach our shores. Don't hold your breath.

In the meantime, there are over 200,000 FJ Cruisers exploring around the world. Just like the grand-dad 40 series, the FJC will continue to live on for many years to come.

Nunca quiseram meter motor a diesel....
recentemente na Austrália venderam o dobro do esperado e msm assim acabam com o modelo.

Eu continuo sem perceber como é que estes gajos têm as duas rodas do mesmo lado completamente paradas e o carro continua a andar. Já se discutiu este assunto por aqui noutro tópico qualquer (há imensos vídeos destes gajos com séries 70 a fazer isto) e continuo sem perceber! Só se tiraram os semi-eixos daquele lado e têm bloqueios nos 2 diferenciais! :blank:
